Delete your Incommon account

You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time, without asking anyone. It happens straight away and it cannot be undone.

From inside the app

  1. Open Incommon and tap the account menu in the top right of any screen.
  2. Choose Profile Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
  4. Read what will be removed, then press Delete my account and confirm.

If you are still waiting to be let in, or have not finished signing up

There is no account menu yet, so the link is on the screen itself: scroll to the bottom of the waiting screen, or of any question while you are setting up your profile, and choose Delete account. Then read what will be removed, press Delete my account and confirm.

If you cannot open the app

Email hello@dateincommon.com and ask us to delete your account. Tell us the phone number or email address you sign in with, so we can find you. We will delete it and reply to confirm, within 30 days and usually the same week.

What is deleted

What we keep

Safety reports, and nothing else. If someone has reported you, or you have reported someone, we keep that report and the name it was filed against, so that deleting an account cannot be a way to undo it. There is no waiting period during which your account could be recovered, and we would not restore you from a backup. Signing up again starts from nothing.

We do take a daily backup, against a fault on our side. A backup made before you left still holds your rows, and every backup is deleted within 30 days, so the last copy of you is gone within 30 days of your deletion.
