Terms for Incommon
Last updated 7 October 2026
These are the rules for using Incommon. They are short on purpose. The app asks you to agree to them, and to read the privacy policy, before you can post anything; if you do not agree, do not use it. We keep a record of which version you agreed to and when.
The short version: be 18 or over, be decent to other people, own what you post, and expect the app to change as we grow. You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you.
Who we are
Incommon is run by Kavi Suri, a sole proprietor, and reachable at hello@dateincommon.com. "We" and "us" below mean that.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. One account each, under a name people would recognise you by. We can refuse or close an account if we believe either of those is untrue.
What Incommon is right now
Incommon is new and opening city by city. Features change, things can break, and content you post may be lost while we build. It is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it works, stays available, or introduces you to anyone.
How to behave
You agree not to use Incommon to:
- harass, threaten, impersonate, or endanger anyone;
- post anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that is not yours to post;
- solicit money, advertise, or recruit;
- collect other people's information, or copy it out of the app;
- break, probe, or automate against the service.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users
There is no tolerance on Incommon for objectionable content or for abusive users. That covers anything in the list above, and anything else that a reasonable person would find threatening, degrading, or sexually explicit.
- You can report any person or post from inside the app, and block anyone you do not want to see or hear from.
- A person reviews every report within 24 hours.
- When a report holds up, we remove the content and remove the account that posted it. We do not owe anyone a lengthy explanation, and we do not warn first.
What you post
Your photos and answers stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to other members as the app is designed to — in the feed, on your profile, and to people you are set up with — for as long as your account exists. Delete a post or your account and that permission ends with it. You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
Texts
The daily prompt by text is optional and off until you switch it on. If you do:
- You will get at most one prompt message a day, plus our replies to texts you send us.
- Message and data rates may apply. That is between you and your carrier; we charge nothing for it.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or turn the switch off under Profile. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and delivery is not guaranteed.
- We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your consent to be texted with anyone for their own marketing.
What we do with your number is set out in the privacy policy.
Meeting people
We do not run background checks, and we do not vouch for anyone. You are responsible for your own safety: meet in public, tell somebody where you are going, and stop if something feels wrong. Anything that happens between you and another member is between you and them.
Ending it
Delete your account from inside the app whenever you like; what goes with it is described in the privacy policy, and there is a walkthrough at delete your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop running Incommon altogether.
The legal part
Incommon is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything arising out of your dealings with another member. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
If this page changes
We will change the date at the top and, if the change is one you would care about, say so in the app. Carrying on using Incommon after that means you accept the new version.
Asking us something
